Since we are dedicated to providing best-in-class security service, potential hires must meet our rigorous set of requirements. This preemptive measure is set in place to ensure that we add the best additions to our team. Below are the requirements all active security guards must meet and maintain on the job:

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
  • Possess a valid State issued ID card or Driver’s License (current address displayed)
  • Be able to obtain a Private Security Officer’s Permit
  • Be able to write and print legibly
  • Be able to communicate with the general public
  • Be able to maintain poise under stressful situations
  • No refusal of a Security Officer Permit (previous 5 years)
  • No revoked or suspended Security Officer Permit (previous 5 years)
  • No outstanding warrants
  • Be drug free

As an employee of Simmons Security, you can NOT have any convictions of the following:

  • Any type of felony
  • Possession of a deadly weapon (during the previous 10 years)
  • Impersonating a law enforcement officer
  • Assault/battery (during the previous 5 years)
  • An offense of moral turpitude
  • Any sex crime
